ORANGE, CT. (December 4, 2000) -- Hubbell Incorporated (NYSE: HUBA, HUBB) today announced the acquisition of Temco Electric Products Inc. The acquisition was a cash transaction; other terms were not released.

Based in Quebec, Canada, Temco is a manufacturer of electrical outlet boxes, metallic wall plates, and related accessories sold primarily to Canadian customers. Combined with the presence and products of Hubbell Canada, Inc., and the Company’s domestic U.S. operations, the Temco addition will enhance Hubbell’s position in North American markets.
